So it has been almost a month since our last update and stuff has just been moving along as always. We got the money from Kickstarter and then immediately spent most of it on manufacturing costs. And thank god we did because the Australian dollar has not been well. Just its fluctuation over the project saw our manufacturing costs increase by around 10%.
But have no fear, everything is on track. We even had to increase our manufacturing run from 1500 to 2000 to accommodate the allocated sales after all of the Kickstarter copies have been fulfilled.
Tavern Fame preorders now available
In case you missed our Facebook posts, Tavern Fame is now available for preorder on our online store. Any preorders that are made before we go live during fulfillment will be able to take advantage of the reduced shipping charged because it’s gonna cost more to send it out when it gets to us instead of going straight from our manufacturers. Don’t miss your chance to grab a copy now if you missed out on the Kickstarter.
Retailer applications are now open
Tell your local stores! Retailers get a sweet 35% off RRP so that they can sell in store. Retailers can apply at our online store here so make sure you get your local store on board for Tavern Fame.
We have art for our new game
That’s right. Aaron and I have jumped right on to working on our next game, Tyranny, while we wait for Tavern Fame to finish manufacturing.
But we have come to a little bit of a quandary. We’re having troubles picking a battle scene. Which two scenes would you prefer to see? We’ll weigh up the results when making our decision.
A few more games
But that’s not the only new game we’re working on. We also have the early builds of 2 other games being worked out. One some people may have encountered before when I started making my own games called Arena: Warriors of the Sand. There were a few things I couldn’t put my finger on with the game’s build so we’ve stripped it back and are building it with a few more tweaks. We’ve also reskinned it into a sci-fi universe instead of the roman gladiators. I feel like it would give us more freedom with what we can do creatively with the game and the art. It’s now called ARENA. In it, various companies and operators control a stable of gladiators that they can equip with gear before fighting in one of the many arenas around the galaxy. Players can also buff their characters with the help of servants or mess with the other players using events all while striving to be the most famous operator in the galaxy.
The other game is a crafting and marketplace game called The Smiths of Winterforge. In it, players each take control of a crafting guild in the mighty dwarven city of Winterforge where players compete for the glory of the royal family by gradually crafting contracts of increasing difficulty and reward. This game is in the very early stages but a prototype should be available in the next 6 months.
So make sure you keep an eye out at Board Games & Burgers as we will be pulling both of these games out in the near future to work on them as well.
That’s all we have for you this update. Expect a few more in the coming weeks as Tavern Fame finishes up manufacturing and we start talking about new games.
